How Wasil works
Diaspora shoppers ask for Saudi goods. Pilgrims already flying home carry them, and are reimbursed plus a fee once the handover is confirmed with a code.
If you are asking for something
Post the request
Say what you want, where it should reach you, and by when. A link or a photo is required — your traveller cannot message you to ask which one until they have bought it.
Set your ceiling
The budget cap is the most you are willing to pay for the item. Travellers bid a delivery fee on top of it, and you can see every bid before choosing.
Accept and pay
Accepting a bid charges you once: item cost, delivery fee and the platform fee together. Stripe holds all of it.
Confirm the handover
You receive a six-digit code. Give it to your traveller only when the item is in your hands. That code is what releases the money.
If you are the one flying
Post your trip
Tell us the city you fly home to and the date you land. That is all the marketplace matches on.
Bid on what you can carry
You see every open request going to your city. Bid a delivery fee on the ones that fit your bag.
Buy and prove it
Once your bid is accepted and the shopper has paid, chat opens straight away. Buy the item and upload the receipt to show what you spent.
Hand it over
Meet, enter the shopper's six-digit code, and your reimbursement plus your fee is released.
Where the money sits
Nothing moves person to person, ever. Stripe holds the full amount from the moment a bid is accepted until a handover code is entered. If the handover does not happen, the shopper is refunded in full.
